Connecting to the T: Drive When Off-Campus or Wireless

In order to connect to the T: drive from off campus, you have to login to VPN before logging in to Windows. To do that you have to change a setting in the VPN Client application.

  1. Start the VPN Client program.
  2. Go to the Options menu, and select Windows Logon Properties (see Figure 1).
  3. Put a check next to Enable start before logon (see Figure 2).
  4. Click OK.
  5. Quit VPN.
  6. Reboot your computer.

After your computer reboots and you press Alt-Ctrl-Del, you should see the VPN Client (see Figure 3).

  1. Click Connect.
    1. If you do not want to use VPN, click Cancel instead.
  2. Login to VPN.
  3. Then you can login to Windows.

 

You now have a secure connection to Case and your computer will work as if it was connected on the Case network.

You should now be able to connect to the T: drive.
If you still can not connect to T:, continue on to the next section.

Deleting your Saved (som\) Password for Cerebellum

Go to your Start menu, select Control Panel.
When the Control Panel opens, double-click on User Accounts.
When the User Account window opens, click on the Advanced tab (see Figure 4).
Click the Manage Passwords button.
When the Stored User Names and Passwords window opens (see Figure 5), click on cerebellum.case.edu.
Click the Remove button.

Now you should be able to access the File Transfer folder when running VPN from off campus.
