Our dedicated faculty helps make the Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine one of the top medical schools in the United States. With nearly 4,000 faculty members, our full-time faculty consists of 471 professors, 408 associate professors, 925 assistant professors and 181 instructors.
School of Medicine faculty members are energetic, accessible educators who treat their students as junior colleagues. They aim to meet their students' needs by continuously evaluating and improving the School's curriculum.
Additionally, many of our faculty is nationally and internationally renowned researchers in their individual fields. In 2008 alone, 620 full-time faculty members worked on National Institute of Health grants. Four former professors and emeriti professors hold Nobel Prizes for physiology and medicine.
